Riding for the Disabled

Court Meadow Riding for the Disabled Association has been helping disabled children for many years by teaching them to ride from the age of three.  They find that learning to ride gives the children confidence and increases coordination.

Some children even go on to compete in the Special Olympics and the Club sponsored four riders for the last games in Scotland.

Burgess Hill District Lions Club gave a donation of £1000 to Court Meadow Riding for the Disabled Association following the Christmas Collection in 2010.  The following are pictures of the presentation.

We have also helped other local branches of the Riding for the Disabled Association.  One branch that supports Newick House School recently moved to a new Riding School and the Club helped with this move.  The press were there to see the first lessons there.
