Burns Night Dinner

Burns Night is on 25th January and we normally have a gathering on the nearest Sunday to this - currently at the Sportsmans Pub in Goddards Green.  They put on a fantastic meal with all the correct procedure!

Our last Burns Night Dinner was on 27th January 2019 with the following Menu:


Cup of cream of broccoli soup finished with Scottish blue cheese (v)


Traditional Haggis, Neaps’ & Tatties, served with a complimentary nip of scotch whisky if desired to pour over your haggis!

Vegetarian Haggis Neaps’ & Tatties (v)

Main - (Traditional haggis, neaps & tatties can be served as a main course option if preferred…)

Char-grilled beef minute steak on buttered whisky & haggis mash with seasonal greens & red wine jus

Serrano ham & sage wrapped pork fillet, apple & pancetta sautéed potatoes & green beans with cider jus

Baked loin of cod with lemon, parmesan & herb crumble topping, charred red pepper, spinach & sweet potato with garlic butter

Roasted butternut squash, goats’ cheese & spinach risotto (v) topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, rocket leaves & a parmesan crisp


Warm mulled poached pear, vanilla ice cream & hedgerow berry compote

Chocolate & whisky crème brulee with sugared shortbread biscuits

Scottish cheese selection with oatcakes, pickled walnuts & ale chutney

Freshly Brewed Coffee or Tea with Chocolate Mints - & perhaps a scotch or two?
