Fun Day to celebrate 60 years of service

In April 2015, Burgess Hill District Lions Club had been Chartered for 60 years and have been serving the Community all that time.

To mark the year, we gave £60,000 to worthy causes, some of which are shown below.  We also celebrated the occasion with a Fun Day on 11th April 2015.  There were many stalls manned by groups we have supported over the years as well as commercial ones, including a Bouncy Castle!  See details on this poster.

Age Concern Hassocks Mini-bus

A major donation this year was to Age Concern, Hassocks, towards a new mini-bus.  This was presented by Lion President Chris Muschamp and Jonathan Lucas, High Sheriff of West Sussex.

SERV Blood-runners Motorbike

Blood and transplant organs are often transported around the country day and night by motorbike to get there fast - this is a vital life-giving service.  This year we bought another motorbike for the Blood-runners and again this was presented by the High Sheriff of West Sussex.  He was joined by Alan Shaw of Harbeth Audio who donated a tracker for the bike.
