Christmas Food Appeal
Every Christmas we hold a Food Appeal for disadvantaged senior citizens and families on limited incomes in conjunction with the local radio station Bright 106.4 and the Mid Sussex Times.
Large crates are displayed in shops in Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint for local shoppers to contribute to this appeal. This is an example of the crate with Percy the penguin encouraging shoppers to donate!
We pack and distribute over 100 Christmas hampers to disadvantaged local people.
This is a mammoth effort as the photos below show!
We then deliver all over the district to senior citizens and families who always welcome the additional help.
