Lions Clubs International MD105 - Family Friendly Web Site Award

As well as the main Welfare and Fundraising Activities, there is a good social side to our club for those who wish to take part. This starts with our 'After Christmas' party - an evening of games, a fish and chip supper and catching up with each other after the break.

A trip in January to the Holiday on Ice show in Brighton or a Burns Night Dinner, as below.

Showing the Haggis Recitiation of Burns over the Haggis

Feb: "Toad in the Hole" at a local pub, sometimes against another Lions Club.

March: a weekend away which for the last few years has been at a hotel with plenty of good food, entertainment dancing, fun and a lot of laughter, a crazy golf tournament, walking, shopping, etc. Sunday on the way back, a stop at the pub for Sunday lunch then home to recover.

Towards the end of March, Ten Pin Bowling is arranged followed by a meal in Brighton.

In April a travelling meal has been organized.

We usually have an indoor skittles challenge against another club in the district with a supper at a pub in Barcombe around autumn time.

In October, the Club normally visits East Anglia to meet up with one of our members, now an Associate, who organises a superb wekend for us. See here for some photos of our recent trips to Cambridge and Colchester.

During the year some members will hold a party or barbie. We will run trips to our local theatre club in Burgess Hill or shows that anyone cares to organize.

Lionism is having fun as well as helping people, as those who come along to our meetings will confirm!

It can even be fun at Multiple District Conventions as you can see here!
